FAQ & Info to help with using TabSquirrel

FAQ

I don't see the TabSquirrel popup

Like all Chrome extensions, in order to see the popup action icon at all times, you'll need to pin the extension. Learn how to pin an extension here.

How do I import or export my bookmarks?

TabSquirrel uses your browser's built in functionality for bookmarks and tab groups. For bulk importing and exporting to and from other browsers, you can use Chrome's Import/Export functionality. See Chrome's support page on importing bookmarks.

What are JavaScript bookmarklets and how do I use them?

JavaScript bookmarklets are snippets of JavaScript stored in a bookmark. Instead of a page URL, they start with the text javascript: and are followed by JavaScript code.

Normally to make a bookmarklet, you need to create a bookmark to any page, and then edit the bookmark, renaming it to what you want and modifying the JavaScript code on a single line.

TabSquirrel powers up your JavaScript bookmarklet editing experience. Create and edit JavaScript in a real, web-based code editor with shortcuts you're familiar with.

TabSquirrel has dedicated UI to help you create and edit bookmarklets.
